FRENCH PARLIAMENT

SOCIALISTS AS SCHOOLMASTERS. Frees Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. PARIS, July 19. The Socialists induced the Chamber of Deputies to carry a proposal by 441 'to 77 making it obligatory upon members to sign a time-sheet daily. Members failing to sign for six consecutive sittings will have their salaries stopped. M. Pelletan and M. Brisson protested. The newspapers ridicule the proposal, and state that it reduces the Chamber to the level of an assembly of schoolboys.
