Dan Barnett, a son of Air George Barnett, of Queenstown, was drowned in a lagoon at Glenorchy. The cl creased was subject to fits. There was ociy about 3ft of water in the lagoon. At the inquest on the body of John Cummings, a platelayer, who was killed on the railway near Petone on Saturday, the coroner found that death was brought about by the deceased himself, who for some reason of his own had crossed the line without being aware of the train approaching, and that lie was run into accidentally when he was in such a position that neither the driver nor the fireman could see him. No blame whatever was attachable to them. Word has just been received at Taihape that Air Joseph Gibson.
