M’PHEE.—In loving memory of Gordon and Edgar M’Phee, cut off through collision of G.S. Lady Roberts and Matakana, near Pulling Point beacon, Lower Harbor, 18th April, 1908. " Mother, good-night,” This will not be the end; This world is a halting-place, '*tis but a day we spend. The Master grieves that we cannot comprehend. "Mother, good-night.” —2O Scott street, St. Kilda. BROOKES.—In loving memory of our dear George, who was accidentally shot April 1 th, died April 17th, 1S06; aged 15 years. It seems but a day since he bade us good-bye, His heart full of hope and his spirit so hi°h •’ How little wo thought when he left us thu; day, The grim hand of death would soon tear him away. So gentle and kind—how we miss his dear face, Now we know that on earth wo can ne’er fill his place; Though asleep in his Saviour, where grief is unknown, In sorrow and tears are his loved ones at home. —lnserted by bis parents, sisters, and brothers
METHERS.—In sad and loving memory of our dear William, who was drowned in the Lower Harbor disaster on Easter Saturday 18th April, 1908. We cannot weep beside his grave, He lies in the sacred sea; And not one gentle whispering, wave Will tell the place to thee. Although we cannot see by mortal eye, The place we know it not; His Father knoweth where he lies, And angels guard the spot. —lnserted by his loving father, mother, sisters, and brothers. SCOTT.—In loving memory of our dear grandmother, Catherine Scott, who departed from us on April 15th, 1905. “ Gone, hut not forgot ten.”--Inserted by her loving grandchildren.
