DUNEDIN. The takings for the second day of the Caledonian sports on Saturday amounted to £175, as against £lB2 9s 6d taken last jfar. TIMARU. The Caledonian sports were concluded on Saturday. There was a record gate (£207 17s} for ;i second day, the great attraction being the Kilties" (Canadian) Band. The'sports were a great success. Campion put up two records for the cycling track, doing the mile in 2min 2soc, and the Two Mile AVheel Race in 4min 12 2-Ssec from scratch.
