ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
Charles Dean, an old age pensioner, who lived alone in a house at East Winton, was burned to death on Saturday night. Dean was the husband of Minnie Dean, - who was executed some years ago. John Cleaver, while attempting to boarda train, at Stratford, slipped, and was dragged some distance. He was injured internally. James J. Stirling, a Kaikoura farmer, fell out of his trap and was dragged along, the road and killed.
