SOCIAL AT SOUTH DUNEDIN. At the Church of Christ Chapel, South ' Dunedin, on Tuesday evening the Christian Women’s Missionary Society entertained a similar society from the Tabernacle. The president (Mrs Powell) extended a welcome to tho visiting society, and apologised for the absence of Mr E. T. Edmunds, who had been the means of organising the society. An interesting paper was read by Miss A, Kobb on the work of Pandita-Kamabui in Mukti, India; also a recitation by Miss Qlaiftter on ‘ New inland's Women at I Ease.’ Mrs Allan sang an appropriate missionary hymn. Tho Bible reading was given by Miss Kirkby. The president ox-1 pressed the hope that there would be more of these united meetings, giving interchange of thought and method, and increase of love j from one to the other. I
