LOCALLY-TRAINED TEACHERS PREFERRED.
[Per United Press Association.] PAHIATUA, November 5. At the meeting of the Mangamaire School Committee a motion was passed condemning the action of the Wellington Education Board in submitting the names of lady teachers from Sydney and Melbourne and refusing to let the Committee consider the applications of a number of teachers trained under the Board at the expense of the colony.
