THE CITY MISSION.
The monthly meeting of the Executive of the Dunedin City Mi?sion, held on Tuesday, was presided over by Mr Geo. Reid. The Hon. Treasurer (Mr Rosevear) reported an excellent balance-sheet and the following donations, etc. :—J.R., 5s ; Bond Street, £2 2s; Friends of the Mission, £8 13s 4d; Same for Children's Fund, £7; Mr M., £1; Albany street service, 15s ; attendance cards, Is ~9d. Good Samaritan Fund—Mr M., £5; Ladv, 10s; Special Case, £2 2s. The usual accounts were passed for payment. The classes so long held in State schools for Bible-reading will, for this year, be closed as under :—Mondav, 16th, Northeast Valley; Tuesday, 10th (instead of 17th), Kaikorai; Wednesday, 18th, Albany Street; Thursday, 19th, High Street; Friday, 20th. Arthur Street. Circulars containing particulars are this year being sent to all parents. The usual prizes and large cards will be circulated as in former years. Fuller details were also furnished as to visitation of the sick and the relief of a temporary character which has been granted to deserving cases of need; as to the Sunday evening service; and also as to the many services, and assistance given by Mr Wright in different churches in and around the City.
