BURNSIDE STOCK SALES.
Vo-daiy. Sheep.—2,l26 yarded. A fait'yarding composed principally of mediant ahdTight wethers, with a tow pens of ' heavy weights. Prices opened from Is to l»'-6d below last week’s rates, but improved slightly towards the end of the sale.' Quotations :—Boat wethers. 20s to Z3s; extra, up to 27s 3d; good, 17s 6d to* 19s 6d; light and inferior, 14s to 16s: best ewes, 17s to 19a 3d; extra heavy, 26s sd, Lambs.—lßs yarded. A Rood yarding. Best lambs sold up to 17s 3d, and' lighter sorts from 9s to 15s 6d. Pigs.—Bs yarded. A medium' yarding of all classes. Small pigs sold at prices fully equal to last week’s. The sale, was brisk, and porkers and baconers met with a good inquiry. Quotations :—Suckers, 30s to 235; slips, 25s to 28s; stores, 33s to 38s; porkers. 43s to 48s: light baconers, 53s to 58a; heavy, 60s to 655; choppers, up to £3 17s. . Cattle.—223 yarded. A good big yarding containing a lot of prime quality bullocks and heifers. The sale was not far advanced when we went to press, but prices then obtained showed a decline of about _los a head on last week’s rates. The highest price got for prime bullocks was £lO 15s.
