Thera is practically no second-grade butter being turned out in Taranaki this season (says the ‘Hawera Star*), whereas last season there was very little else. One reason is said to be that farmers, ore experiencing more care of their milk, which now arrives at the factory for the meet part in excellent condition, and another is of the splendid condition of dairying stock, owing to the highly favorable winter experienced and tlie consequent rich pastures that were available for the spring months.
