DUNEDIN AND SUBURBAN LABORERS' UNION.
TO THE EDirOK. Sir,—l trust you will give me space to contradict .the following local, which appeared in your issue of tlik evening, at least m so far as it refers to myself. The local reads inter alia: " A notice of motion by Messrs Weir and Borehiun was given that Mr Nicholl's letter re No-license be reconsidered at the next genera] meeting." I wish to stale that I had nothing whatever to do with Mr Weir or his notice of motion. To those who aro iamiliar with the procedure at meetings of trades unions it will be obvious that it is not necessary thai a notice of motion should be seconded Finally, seeing that on my motion a. resolution was carried alt a meeting of the above union, held on September 9, that Mr G. B. Nicholl's letter, circulars, and the Trades and Labor Conference remit lie on the table for six months, I am forced to suspect that some person , has given you misleading information.—l am, etc., Steve Boreham. October 26. [The information was supplied to us officially by the secretary of the union.—Ed. E-S.J
