A meeting of delegates of the men employed by Furness, Withy, and Co. at West Hartlepool approved of the copartnership proposals, and urged the local branches of the various unions concerned to adopt them, experimentally, for a year. CONCENTRATION OF AIANAGEMENT. LONDON, October 24. The Liverpool ‘ Journal of Commerce ’ announces that tho proprietors of all tho marine engine works on the north-east coast have agreed upon a working arrangement, the basis being a concentration in management, classification, and standardisation of work, also proportionate pooling of profit. Capital to the extent of £5,000,000 is represented.
