B. B Hood, an engineer in the eniplov of the "J.S.S. Company, was severely iiijurcri on the steamer Kaitangala tliisnftcrnooi. through coming in contact with the machinery attached to a pump. The injured man, who is a fon of the harbormaster at, New Plymouth, was sent to town by the 2.15 p.m. train.
