Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under : For Northern Ports, Christchurch, and Intermediate Offices, overland, daily 6.30 a.m. Late letters, C.P.0., 7.40; on mail van 8 a.m. Mails for Northern Ports are despatched every Saturday at 12.45 p.m. For Waikouaiti, Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Temuka, Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, per second express, daily, at 12.45 p.m. Late letters C.P.O. 1 p.m.; guard's van, 1.26 p.m. For Greymouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 12.45 p.m. For Oamaru and Timaru daily at 2.30 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, 3.10 p.m. For Sonth Express Trains daily at 7.30 a.m. (late letters, C.P.0., 8 a.m. ; on mail van, 8.20 a.m.) and 5 p.m. (late letters, guard's van, 5.45 p.m.). Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage, Id. Newspaper mails close thirty minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails. SATURDAY, JUNE 22. Mails for the Bluff and Invercargill.— Per Ulimaroa, at 8 p.m. Late letters may be posted on 2.30 p.m. train on 21st. DIRECT SERVICE. SATURDAY, JUNE 20. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe via Monte Video (due in London August 6), per north express, at 12.45 p.m. Correspondence must be specially addressed " per Paparoa." FEDERAL SERVICE. MONDAY, JUNE 22. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Australian States, Ceylon, India, China, Straits Settlements, Mauritius, Sonth Africa, Mediterranean Ports, etc., via the Bluff (due in London August 4), at 6.30 a.m. Late letters at C.P.O. 8 a.m., and on mail van 8.20 a.m. Correspondence need not be specially addressed. Money orders close at 1 p.m. and registered letters at 5 p.m. on 20th. TELEGRAPH NOTICES. Mails close at Auckland for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe via Sydney, per Moana, on Monday, 22nd, at 4.15 p.m. Mails close at Melbourne for Durban and Cape Town, per Moravian, via Fremantle, June 24; per Wilcannia, via Adelaide, July 2.
