It is considered unlikely that the price to the public will bo raised. TIMARU, April 14. For the mayoralty there is to bo a contested election thJ6*ycar. Mr T. Hawkey, tho senior councillor, who has occupied a seat at tho Council table for the past fourteen years, has decided to contest the seal against. Mr Craigie. who has been mayor for the past sis yeare.
