■ ♦ ' OTAGO CLUB'S NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT. The Otago Golf Club commenced their armnal 'tournament at the Balmacewen Links yesterday, the opening event being a Colonel Bogey Handicap. Tho winner of this event was Mr A. F. Roberts, with 4 up on the " Colonel," and W. C. Macgregor and EL D. Stronach tied for second place with 2 up. At a later stage in the tournament the tie for second place will be decided. Following are some of the best cards handed in :
