THE WEATHER.
Squally winds from tho west blew upon Dttnedin last night, but there was nothing to injure or alarm. Once more Otago seems to have escaped whilst the North has suffered. We havo much to be thankful for in the matter of weather.
Captain Edwin telegraphs:—Westerly strong winds to a gale; glass rise; rain probable; tides high,, sea heavy; weather colder.
