Laidlaw and Gray and Te'egraph B played, their first match this year on Culling Park yesterday, a fast and interesting gaire being watched by a small crowd of spectators. The L. and G. team, who wore, conoiderabfy heavier than their opponents, secured a win by 7 goals to nil. Playing with tho wind in the first epell, L. and G. gavo the Telegraph custodian plenty of work, and goals were scored by Begbie, Coughlan, Broadbent, Byrne. On changing ends, Telegrapl livened matters up considerably, but the defence of the Henderson brothers proved too strong to allow of uny scoring from the fine rushes which they got in. The shooting of L. and G. has considerably improved, and goals were again eecured by Byrne (2) and Coughlan. For the Telegraph, Berry, Parsons, and. Dians played well, as did Smith, Coughlan, Byrne, and Henderson (2) for L. and GMr T. Broomfield controlled the game, and gavo every satisfaction.
