» » DEATH AT A DENTIST'S. At Tnvercargill en Saturday Arnold Kingsland, a boy about sixteen, died under chloroform while having teeth extracted. FELL INTO A WELL. A two-year-old child named Newbury fell into a fell at Maharahara (Woodville) on Saturday, and was drowned. A CHILD BURNT TO DEATH. A Wellington telegram this morning stated that at Cambridge the four-year-old son of Mr Geo. Price, a Rarapuro settler, was burnt to death, his clothes catching fire while his parents were out n_lk_g. A BUGGY ACCIDENT. Prom Eketahuna it is telegraphed that a buggy accident, caused by the horses bolting, occurred at Tiraumea. The driver (Hansen) was rendered unconscious, and is stijl in that condition. So was Mrs Holmes, but she has recovered. Other passengers were knocked about more or TUMBLED DOWNSTAIRS. The Pahiatua Press Association agent reports that John Beaufort, surveyor, fell downstairs, and died at tho hospital. He leaves a grown-up family. AN INFANTS DEATH. A child, agod one clay, the daughter of Mrs Campbell, Cumberland street, died euddenly this morning. Dr Evans was called in, but the child was dead. An inquest will bo held. DEATH OF A SHEEP-BREEDER. A Giaborne telegram records tho e'eath of .Alexander M'Kenzie, well known throughout the colony as a breeder of etud sheep. Mr M'Kenzie, years ago, was engaged profitably in the ©beep trade between Wellington and Oainani for tho Otago diggings, transporting 6,000 one year.
