The weather conditions were unfavorable this morning, the light being bad, with a haze from tho south, and occasional showers. Tho last, match before the final aggregates for tho belt is in progress. In tins (tho Otago Match, 800 and 9CO yards, ten phots) Oxr (of Auckland) made 37, and fell away from tho lead for the belt. Ayson (Murihikn) got 43. and leads for tho trophy with 381. Arthur Ballinger made 47, and stands at 380, and of those that have finished Cox is 376, Purnell (Wanganui) 376, Milroy 573. Tho last stages will bo fired in the afternoon. w C. Craw (Chorlton) made within a point of tho possible at 800 yds, but is too far down in the aggregate to have any chance. Pearson (Timarn) rang on 48, and Drummond (Dannevirke) finished with a similar total. Arthur Ballinger ~ and Plimmer (Wellington) each scored 47, and these will probably be tho leaders at this rango, 12.15 p-in. At noon the leading positions for the bolt were:—Ayson 381, A. Ballinger-380, Drummond 378, Private Cox 376, Duncan (Dennistan) 376, Parnell (Wanganui), 376, W. Ballinger 374, Mansfield (Sounds) 374, and Milroy (Nelson) 373. There ore yet tho final range of the Otago Match and the final stage of the Championship to bo fired before the belt winner ie known, and it is more than probable that the positions will change considerably.
