[Per United Press Association-]* WELLINGTON, February 15. Matilda Morris appeared at tho Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with tho minder of her infant child at Otaki. Sho was remanded for a week. TXMARU, February 15. The Parcora School Committee, of which the Hon. J. Anstcy, M.L.C., is chairman, have resigned in a body as a protest against tho action of the Education Hoard in declining lo comply with tho Committees request to erect a new school in a more central part of the district. There has been friction over this matter for the past two years, and deputation after deputation have been heard bv the Board. Residents of Pareora district are divided in opinion as to whether the school should bo shifted or not, though tho Committee arc unanimous that it should be shifted rather than spend money on repairing the existing school, which is in a bad state.
