THE WEST HARBOR. MAYORALTY.
At the conclusion of the West Harbor Council meeting last evening," Cr Thorn'-! son. on behalf of the councillors in attendance, presented the following requisition to the mayor, Mr H. E. Moller : " We, the undersigned members of the West Harbor Borough Council, have much pleasure in requesting you to allow yourself to be nominated for another term, as mayor of the borough. We think it only fair to yourself and tho ratepayers that tlie works now in progress should be completed before you vacate the mayoral chair, and if you consent to this we shall do all in our power to assist in your return." —(Signed by the councillors.) Cr Cray, as senior councillor, said he hoped that tho mayor would consent to tho request, ' while Crs Smith, Crawley, Jack, and Crosland spoke of the large amount of work Mr Moller had done during the past twelve months. The Mayor, in reply, heartily thanked the councillors for the confidence they placed in him, and said he would with pleasure accede to the request to allow himself to be nominated for a further term, at the conclusion qf which he hoped to take a rest from municipal affairs for a time.
