"WELLINGTON", December 20. The High Coranrkeianer writes to tho Hon. J. M"Gowan that the dreulaw "ooing distributed in German amongst, odilnns of leading German papers when on a visit to England, with a view to securing a market for New Zealand moat in Germany, are bearing good fruit. Tho German rross are now giving much attention to the question, induced by tho extraordinary height to which prices have increased, tind references to New Zealand meat are numerous. Mr Reeves says be is keeping in touch with tho question, and has considerable hope that the opposition of tho agrarian party to tlie introduction of foreign meat will be overcome.
