Resultant on tho unusually forward season, tho “ queen of flowers ” is already, in evidence, and from the quality of some of the roses now to bo seen tho display at the rose show on Thursday next should be a notable one. Rose enthusiasts (and who are not), after two or three disappinting seasons, are now, by watering and mulching well, to have a chance at this show of exhibiting to all lovers of the “ queen of flowers ” the rose in all its perfection of form, texture, and color. Many newly introduced varieties of hybrid perpetnals, hybrid teas, in addition to the old favorites, will be shown. A brilliant array of pot pelargoniums and gloxinias, together with cut blooms of sweet peas, iris, etc., will provide a feast of color. All entries close on Monday, December 10.
