The Arawa, new twin-screw steamer, leaves Liverpool 16th February for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin; due 4th April; sails from colony in May. COLLISION AT GREYMOOTH. A Greymouth message states that a collision occurred on the river yesterday afternoon between the Hawea and the Harbor Board’s dredge. The Hawea, which was timber-laden, was leaving for Lyttelton, and had fairly swung in the river when she went aground astern. The captain gave instructions to drop the anchor, but the vessel was carried round with the stream, and crashed into the dredge. The dredge was badly damaged, the bidder being carried away. Some of the crew, on noticing the. danger, dived into the river and swam ashore. Tbe dredge was towed into the cattle wharf. The Hawea was not damaged, and proceeded to sea.
