CONCIIATULATED BY BENCH AND BAB. ■ WELLINGTON, December 7. At tbo sitting of the Court of Appeal this morning, Mr Tl. D. Bell, leader of the Bar,- took occasion to compliment Dr Findlay on hk devotion to the office of Attorney-General, it being Dr Findlay’s first appearooe in ixmrt since he assumed the omt». Mr Bdl expressed the great satisfaction of the Bar at the advancement of Df Findlay,-which- was due to the professional experience and honor with which he- had conducted his cases;-quite anart from any political considerations there may have been. The Chief Jndice said bo was sure his fellow-judges would agree with him that the high office to which Dr Findlay had been promoted would be adequately filled. They recognised the truth of what Air 801 l bad said, that Dr Findlay wonid carry ont his duties with great credit to his profession.
