HEAVY GOLD DISCOVERED AT GREYMOUTH.

GIiEYMOTJTH, November 27. Sensational developments are reported from tho Alpine mine at Lyell, which was recently purchased by Messrs Craig, Stevenson, and Bilclt. While prospecting in No. 7 level, there was disclosed a large new- make of quartz, carrying coarse, heavy' gold, said to be the richest ever discovered in the mine, and richer than any stono hitherto found on the Coast. Mr Tacou, of Grey mouth, secured the option over the property jusb prior to tho discovery, and intends forming ir company to work the mine. Further news is expected from the mine, where prospecting operations aro being prosecuted vigorously.
