(Received November 9, at 8.49 a.m.) Tho House of Lords passed clause 4 as amended, with a further amendment compelling the local authority to permit teachers to give denominational instruction in " extended facilities" schools, but not at the authorities' expense. FEMALE SUFFRAGE. LONDON, November 8. (Received November 9, at 8.49 a.m.) Mr Keir Hardies Bill enacting that when women have thcJsomo qualifications as men they are entitled to vote at, parliamentary elections, wats read a finjt/ time. .Mr Hardie states that 420 members of tho House are pledged to givo women the franchise. The Premier stated that he had neyer said that tho Government would not deal with tho subject during the present Parliament, but only tliat they would not deal with it during the present session.
