MORNINGTON CRICKET CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Mornington Cricket Club, held in the Borough Council Chambers last, evening, was attended by some twenty members. The president (Mr W. Henderson) occupied Che chair, and Mr J. F. Arnold, M.H.R., wired wishing tho club even more success than they had attained. The report, (already published) was adopted, and {be Chairman, in speaking to the balance-sheet (which also was adopted), said that ho thought it was a very satisfactory one. He hoped that the building of a pavilion and the improvement of the ground would bo kept in view, and perhaps before, next meeting these improvements would be effected. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—President, Mr Wm. Henderson (re-elected); vico-presidents—-Messrs A. J.' Hope, C. J. Payne, T. Sneddon, R. Lochhead, E. E. Nicolson, and J .(X Seelyo; secretary and treasurer, Mr D. Anderson (Mr D. Stalker, assistant); auditor, Mr A. J. Morrison: General CommitteeMessrs J. Clarke, (!. Leys, D. Stalker, J. Haig, J. Pickard, T. Young, G. Anderson, G. Durston, awl V. Holderness; delegate to Association, Mr J. Clarke; delegate to Otago Protection Society, Mr J. Pickard. Details were discussed, and it was resolved to make a standing rule that the two best players from the High street and Mornington Schools be admitted to the membership of the club free of charge. A Dumber of new members wore elected, and the opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 6.
