HARRIERS.
The Dunedin Harrier Club spent Saturday by holding an informal sportis meeting at Tomahawk beach. Teams of eleven a side competed in aces, and eventually the deputy captain's team beat the secretary's team by 2 points. The Y.M.C.A. Harriers had an attendajice of nearly twenty members at their run from Wakan ; School on Saturday. The paper was taken charge of by G. Gilmour and G. Heighway. For some distance the trail led in the direction of the waterworks, when it turned towards Flagstaff, the slope of which was ascended for a little way. Turning again, the paper, leading across open paddocks, brought the pack through Frasers Gully and on to the road above Ashburn Hall. Next Saturday's run will_ be from the Mornington School. <&o Dunedin Anglican Harriers,ran from the St. Clair Baths on Saturday afternoon. 9.a account of a rather small muster it was decided to dispense with hares. The pack, in control of Deputy -captain Bryant, started from the baths and went round the second beach and climbed the track leading to Cargill's, and then took to some fine crosscountry running. After traversing several fields they came out on the Main South road, near the Kaikorai Junction Hotel, and then turned for home.
The Civil Service Club held their weekly run at Tahuna Park. Paper was dispensed with for the day. the pack spending the a-ftemoon on tho 'beach. Captain Melville made the pace to Lawyer's Head, thence to St. Clair and back, the outing proving rnjoyable, ° Tho St. Andrew Harriers will hold their weekly run on Wednesday at the Northeast Valley, starting from Miss Dormer's Tea Rooms at 3 p.m. Members meet at Post Office at 2.30 p.m.
