CASUALTIES.
A Gisbowie message state* thai gaurael Wilson, aged about sixty-niae ye&rs, who had been for over sixteen years "in the- env ploy of Mr Bradley, was found drowned in a fresh-water lagoon at Awaptt&i on Saturday morning. At the inquest a terdict of "Found drowned" was returned. Wilson, who told his friends he had a model homa at his employees pkc*, wag in the habit of going off to a friend in the country and staying some days, so that no concern was felt as to his absence, and tie finding of his body was the first- intimation as to his fate. HAMILTON, August 27. James SuihmOrrield, farmer, of Maeroa. Tekuiti, died yesterday from injuries received on Saturday whilst bushfelliflg. H<; was 6 truck in the abdomen by a tree.
