Tba love-letters of Mrs Jordan to William IV. when the latter was Duke of Clarence were sold at Sotheby’s, London. There were 335 of them, and they fetched exactly £1 a ■letter. The letters are chiefly descriptions of her theatrical life, and information of political and Court life. They were enclosed in the original casket in bundles, tied with red tape. A lady going from home for the day locked everything up well, and' for the grocer’s benefit wrote on a card: “ All out. Don’t leave anything.” This she stuck on the front door. On her. return she found her house ransacked and all her choicest possessions gone. To the card on the door was added: “Thanks We haven’t left much.” The London Dental imports its raw material, saving so much that you can get the highest class dentistry at half usual £Advt.]
