THE MEMBER FOR WESTLAND.
HOKITIKA, August 2. Mr T. Y. Seddon, M.H.R-., who is having splendid weather tor his (South Westland trip, was accorded a great reception at Okarito yesterday, when the settlers gathered from all quarters. His speech made a good impression, and later on he received deputations on local matters. He is going as far south as Karangarua, which be will reach on Saturday, and will be entertained ait dinner. He expects to leave the Coast about the 10th for Wellington via Christchurch.
