DISEASED RABBITS

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.

SYDNEY, July 14. (Received July 14, at 10.40 a.m.) The Premier has received a letter dealing with the diseased state of some of the rabbits that are now being trapped and probably used for human consumption. The writer alleges that the disease is commnnioable to man, and calls attention to a statement from a resident in the Molong district, who said that 150 out of every 400 rabbits skinned'by him were suffering from hydatids, scab, and other loathsome diseases.

The President of the Board of Health, to whom the matter was referred, states that hydatids- in rabbits is not communicable to man, and the scab was a skin parasite. He believed that the rabbits were inspected by an expert board.
