' ■ : ; The hurricane which wn's reported, on Wednesday- to be raging at Norfolk Island is well on its way to the colony, the outward fringe of it having already reached Cape Mam Van Diemen, where a ! very heaw gale is blowing from the eastward. The evidence (says Captain "Edwin) is that the hurricane is travelling : to ite south-east, and is decreasing in energy, but there are still nron&uncod signs of heavy easterly gales in the noetiwni half of the North Island.
