ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS.
UNITED OTAGO DISTRICT. [From Our Own Rrfortbh.J ROXBURGH. March 23. Yesterday afternoon grants of £2O and £lO 10s Mere made from tho ManagementFund to Court Southern Star and a juvenile branch, and one of £3O from tho Relief Fund to Court Star, Tuapeka. Proposals to increase the sick and funeral benefits were rejected. The recommendation by the District Executive in regard to increasing the secretary’s salary was adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were appointed as follow ; —T. 8., Wilson, D.C.R. ; W. Palmer, D.S.C.R. ; J Hope, treasurer; J. Macfie, secretary; W. R. Bruch and D. B. J. Meanis, trustees; W. Black, auditor. Five places were put in nomination for tho next District meeting, and Qneenstown was chosen. The installation of officers was conducted by P.C.R.S Bros. Cairns and Folley. A social, very largely attended, was given in honor of the delegates in the evening.
