Brunke, a clerk at Brunswick, who was betrothed to Fraulein Haars, found himself equally .attached to her sister. The three decided to commit suicide. Brunke shot the girls dead, and then unsuccessfully attempted to kill himself. The girls’ mother committed suicide through grief. Brunke has been sentenced to right years’ imprisonment.
