During his five years’ residence in Masterton Mr Murray has (says the local paper) been a good citizen, with ideas of his own concerning the good order and government of the town in which ho resided, and with the necessary ability and courage to give effect to them. He has on occasion proved' himself to be what Louis Stevenson called “a bonnio fighter,” but always a fair fighter, and he will carry away with him from Masterton the respect of even his opponents.
