A REGATTA AT NAPIER. The first regatta ever held in Napier took place yesterday afternoon in the inner harbor, Western Spit, before a large crowd of people. Crews from the Star, Welling-, ton, and Petcne Beating Clubs (Wellington), and Aramoho Boating Club, Union, and Wanganui Clubs (Wanganui) were amongst tiie competitors. The sum of £3,197 passed through the totalisator at the Waipawa County meeting yesterday. Oasis, the fayorite, accounted for the Autumn Handicap (of 40 sovs, 1m) and the Railway Handicap (of 30 sovs, sf). '
