A REGATTA AT NAPIER. The first regatta ever held in Napier took place yesterday afternoon in the inner harbor, Western Spit, before a large crowd of people. Crews from the Star, Welling-, ton, and Petcne Beating Clubs (Wellington), and Aramoho Boating Club, Union, and Wanganui Clubs (Wanganui) were amongst tiie competitors. The sum of £3,197 passed through the totalisator at the Waipawa County meeting yesterday.
