Apart from the sales made in rather low-; priced stocks this morning there were one j or two movements of interest., Golden Bed \ values underwent a decided recovery, asj buyers offered Is 6d advance on yesterday’s market without getting within Is 6d of holders’ quotations. Hartley and Riley shares .were also in far better favor with buyers, who improved on yesterday’s offers to the extent of 4s without being able to secure shares. Good demand continues for Roxburgh Amalgamated scrip. Not much attention is bping given to investment securities just now, hut for a few stocks such as Standard Insurance and New Zealand Portland Cement buyers are offering good prices. - REPORTED GOLD DISCOVERY.
