The Monowai, which arrived at the Bluff from Melbonrne this morning, is expected here to-morrow at about 6 a.m. She will come straight through to Dunedin. She will leave for the Poet between 5 and 6 p-m., and on Thursday sails for Sydney via Wellington. 'Die Waikare will arrive fn«n Auckland on Thursday next. The Koonya is timed to leave rhmodin for the West Coast- at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Tho Eunice has fimebed discharging, and is now taking in a little cargo for Kaipara. The MnrLhikn is doing good work dredging the spoil at the new dock site. The alterations to the steamer Ripple aix? being made at the George street pier. The Pakeha left the export pier at 6 p.m. yesterday for Lyfcfeeifcon, with part of original cargo from London. The Waipoari, from Napier, arrived a.t 6 a.m. to-day, and steamed into the graving dock for desiring and pointing. She loft Napier at 5 p.m. on the 10th inst. The Nippon Yusen Kaisha steamer Nikko Mam is to leave Sydney on Anrfl 25 for China and Japan ports, and these will be a monthly service thenceforth. Thoy report that fchey encountered a terrific hurricane in the vicinity of Tahiti. One vessel wits in a tornado for eighteen hours.
