TECHNICAL CLASSES ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the newly-appointed Manager of the above was held yesterday afternoon, and attended by Messrs A. Burt, D R. Eunson, T. Mackenzie, M.H.R., T. Scott, A. Sligo, G. M. Thomson, J. W. Walker, and D. R. White, M.A. Mr A. Bart was re-elected chairman and Mr Euuson hon. treasurer, Messrs Sligo, White, and Thomson were reappointed a sub-coin-nuttec for appointments, and the fba.irTna.rq the treasurer, and Messrs Scott and Walker a Works Committee. The sub-committee were empowered to have the janitor’s rooms pat in thorough order, and also to arrange for necessary repairs and alterations required for the forthcoming session. The resignations of several members of the staff were received, and a minute entered expressive of their services. The resignation of i\irs Miller, teacher of cookery, on account of failing health, gave, rise to on extremely favorable criticism of the good work done by Mrs Miller during her long connection with the Association, and the secretary was instructed to convey to her the managers’ thorough appreciation of the services she has rendered the classes placed under her care. For tie position of janitor a very large number of applications were received, and the sub-committee were requested to make a selection of, say, k ; x names, and leave the final selection to the Board of Management. The Suggestion of the superintendent whereby he would be .assured of competent clerical assistance in the office was approved. It was also agreed that the opening of the session be delayed till April, in the expectation -that at least some of the new rooms will then H axailsbio.
