Gambon, the French Ambaesador to the Court of St. James, is negotiating with Great Britain with a view to securing the emigration of Indians to the Isle of Reunion. France is amxious to develop cottongrowing- in her colones. The Chamber of Deputies has increased the grant to encourage the scheme.
