OPEN-AIR MEETINGS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Per many years past it has been the custom of members of various churches in the district, during certain months in the year, to hold open-air meetings in the vicinity of Forbaty road corner. Although these people have been permitted to continue the meetings for so long a time, it has recently dawned upon a certain hotelkeeper (so it would appear) in the same district that active Christian work is oppossd in some way to has business, for dunng the last few Sunday evenings, while the *opcnair meetings were in progress, he has been favoring the same andtencee with edeotiooa from a splendid gramaphoae. Last Sunday evening the blending of oomio and other selections with San key's hymns and gospel addresses was strange, ahnoot uncanny, while as an advertisement for the open-air meeting it was unique,—l am, eto, * Wtuoam Weight.
