SHEARING AGREEMENT. . It Is understood (says the Christchurch ‘ Press ’) that on Friday another conference in regard to a new shearing agreement was held in Christchurch by representatives of the Canterbury Sheepowners’ Union and the Shearers’ Union. The delegates >at in conference all day, and ultimately an amicable arrangement was arrived at, the terms of which will be made public m a few days. It is understood that the agreement is to stand for three years. THE HARVESTER TRUST. BLENHEIM, October 30. At a meeting of the A. and P. Association’s Committee on Saturday n letter was received from the International Harvester Company defining tho agreement entered into by the subscribing companies, and justifying its operations. The president said the present time was very inopportune to deal with the matter, seeing tint all implement makers, including the Harvester Trust, were exhibiting at tint forthcoming Marlborough show. Members approved of this Bgnt.iiywmt, and no action was taken.
