ST. MARTIN'S CHURCH FAIR
The fancy fair and annual sale of work ol the V-dies' Guild of SU Martin's Choree, North-east Valley, was opened this afternoon by the Uev. G. W. H. Harding, M.A-, in tfie VaUey Town Hall. Every effort baa been made to ensure the success of the fair, and the arrangements are extensive and thorough, including numerous attractions, such as pi»Jureuquo costume*, *ido shows, competitions, etc. The Drafcs family's orcltestra, supply oxoellent music, besides which soups, humorous sketches, recitations, etc., will he (jiven during the course of the fair. The eide shows include a shooting gallery (in charge of Messrs K. Tatterafield and P... Tvrrell), an electro battery (Mr E. Tatterefield), a phonograph (Mr J. Swan), Aunt Kajly (Mr IJ. Dudfield), travelling tinker (Mr G. Dudfield), gipsy tent (Madame Zempho), merry man of the fair (Mr H. Russell), post office, photo gallery, etc, etc. Such well-tried competitions as nail-driving for ladies and hatrtriinming for men promise, with other", much fun. Flower.—Mrs W .Hslop and Miss Tatterfeld, a-sfetcd bv Woodward, W. Tattrrsficld, and E. Watkins. Fish Pond and Dip—Misses Drake awl A. Milward, assisted by Misses Bagnell and Stout. The fair will be open this evening and U> morrow afternoon and evening.
