RAILWAY RETURNS
Tlw revenue earned by the North Island section of the railways during the fourweeklv period ended August 19 amounted to £62,998, ami the expenditure to £48,663, o-gwinsi £60,918 and £4S,Aio for the corresponding period of 1904. The Middle Islajid litres earned £90,645, while tlie expenditure was £66,492, against £88,153 and £66,693 respectively during the corresponding period of last year.
