A GROWL FROM SOUTH DUNEDIN.
TO THE KUITOU. Sir, —I am not aware, and I don’t know, who Ibs the contract for carrying out the sanitary arrangements in South Dunedin. "When South Dunedin was a separate borough the nightman was fairly regular in his rounds once a month. But ainoe joining the City there were longer intervals between. At first he would be six weeks, lately two months—that is, if he intends to come round again. There are some householders who think that it would be better to terminate the present arrange- , ment, and do away with the sanitary rate. Then uooselwldeza oould make their own arrangements, and have their back premises cleaner. If the health inspector .were to go around and examine the back premises, I don’t know whom be would blame for the state they axe in.—l am, etc., R.n Bay View road, September 29.
