Three prisoners at the Damgree plantation works, piymad Edward Black, Junes Wilson, and Bolton, broke loose on Saturday night, but were recaptured by the warders early next rooming, having travelled only a few miles in the direction of Blenheim. Some articles were taken from the huts of railway surfaceman in the vicinity, and the prisoners will be charged with the theft of these when appearing before the magistrate. It is understood that the Agricultural Department declined the request for the appointment of a flax grader for the ports ofßlenheim and Piston.
