Tn tlw> House this afternoon the Premie* * moved—n*at the report by the Auditor-General on the voucher inquiry be adopted; a-ao that the House is satisfied that the charge against Captain Seddon of improporay receiving payment for reorganising the Defence stone has been refuted, and never should have bean made, as also the charge against Messrs Col Una, Grey, and Heywood of giving untrue certificates. Tiat the House regrets the charge against Captain Seddon being reiterated vriien it was shown to be unfounded. Further, that it be an Instruction to Jaoort in ‘ Hansard,’ after Mr Fisher’s first charge, and at the end of every debate on the subject, tbe report of the Auditor-General. The Premier, in the course of his speech, produced a second voucher, No. 17,576. lor tbe amount of £74 8s 3d, to Harrison and Co., Christchurch, signed “Richard Sneddon,” for stores at Addington Workshops. He said that this voucher hod been the cause of Mr Fisher and his informants insisting in their charges.
